North Palm Beach is an incorporated village in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 12,015 at the 2010 census. The village won an award from the National Association of Home Builders as best planned community of 1956. The Village of North Palm Beach is located right along the eastern coastline of Florida, about nine miles north of West Palm Beach. With about 12,000 residents, this Palm Beach County community puts you close to a number of coveted areas. Jupiter and Juno Beach are to the north of North Palm Beach. Palm Beach Gardens is to the west. Riviera Beach is directly to the south. While North Palm Beach is right along the coast, I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike are both just a short distance away, making this area a prime location for real estate in South Florida.
Things To Do in North Palm Beach
The Village of North Palm Beach has its own golf course, redesigned by Jack Nicklaus within the past few years, and is now considered one of the best municipal golf courses in all of South Florida. It is just one of the 150 or so public and private golf courses located in the Palm Beach County area. Other outdoor recreational opportunities in the North Palm Beach area, include diving and snorkeling amid shipwrecks and both natural and man-made reefs. The Jupiter Inlet is a great location for fishing. As well, there are a number of marinas and piers in The Northern Palm Beaches. Nearby Jupiter is also a superb location for sail fishing during the winter months. There is also the Palm Beach International Raceway which hosts drag racing and other events throughout the year, and Roger Dean Stadium, which boasts two minor league baseball teams. As well, the area also is the location for spring training for both the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals. Catch all the teams in action if you can. As far as other things to do in Northern Palm Beach County, the opportunities are endless. For performing arts, check out the Borland Center for the Performing Arts in nearby Palm Beach Gardens. The Center features concerts and other productions throughout the year. Jupiter’s The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is also a professional theatre with special shows and family-friendly productions. In nearby West Palm Beach, The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts hosts the ballet, opera, and musical productions. As for museums, there is the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum, which is a true nod to the history of the area. The South Florida Science Museum, in West Palm Beach, includes a planetarium, observatory, and science-themed mini-golf. Meanwhile, the nearby Norton Museum of Art is the largest museum of its kind in the entire state of Florida.
